The contractor portal was a functional product that needed to be reorganized and given a new interface to improve the usability. With UX research and creative team collaboration, I crafted a new experience that contractors have found more valuable.
OVERVIEW PAGE
The old portal overview page consisted of repetitive content from the company website. Above the fold was two options for the contractor to send the loan application to customers, sharing a URL or QR code. The navigation wasn’t defined in a meaningful way that ensured the portal is scalable for new features.
It’s important to start with a high-level overview and providing easy paths for users to view more granular information. The new portal design that I crafted displays recent applications with their status. This allows contractors to view essential information at a glance with a widget dedicated to sending customers the loan application in the top corner of the dashboard.
MARKETING TOOLKIT
We provide contractors with visual assets that are easy to integrate and help them grow their business. The old resource page was structured in a tab navigation at the top. This new design is structured in a card system that allows the user to scan the page for different categories of marketing assets.
A new feature in each asset block is visual examples in live use as a way to show its value and encourage contractors to use the asset. Some assets were also redesigned, such as the website banners, social media images, and estimate widgets.
