Contractor Portal

CONTRACTOR PORTAL

A comprehensive restructuring of the information architecture paired with a new design system, designed to empower contractors to manage their time more proactively and get more out of every interaction with the portal.

The contractor portal was a functional product in need of reorganization and a refreshed interface to improve its overall usability. Through UX research and close collaboration with the creative team, a new experience was crafted that contractors have since found more valuable.

OVERVIEW PAGE

The old portal overview page offered little that contractors couldn't already find on the company website, filling valuable screen real estate with repetitive content. Above the fold, the experience narrowed to just two options for sending the loan application to customers, a URL or a QR code, leaving the page feeling limited in scope. The navigation compounded the issue, lacking the meaningful structure needed to scale alongside new features as the portal continued to grow.

The redesign was grounded in a simple but important principle: start with the big picture and make it easy to dig deeper. The new portal dashboard puts that into practice by displaying recent applications and their statuses front and center, giving contractors the essential information they need at a glance. A dedicated widget tucked into the top corner of the dashboard keeps the loan application sharing experience accessible without pulling focus away from the rest of the page.

MARKETING TOOLKIT

This resource page exists to equip contractors with visual assets that are easy to integrate and built to help their business grow. The original tab navigation structure made browsing feel fragmented, so it was replaced with a card-based layout that lets contractors scan the full range of available marketing assets at a glance. Each asset block now features visual examples of the asset in live use, giving contractors a clear sense of its value and motivating them to incorporate it into their workflow. The update also included a redesign of several existing assets, among them website banners, social media images, and estimate widgets.
