THE INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE was reorganized AND a new DESIGN was created FOR CONTRACTORS TO be more proactive and efficient with their time in the portal.
The contractor portal was a functional tool that needed to be reorganized and given a new interface to improve the experience. With UX research and creative team collaboration on IA, I produced a full experience design that contractors will find valuable.
OVERVIEW PAGE
The old portal homepage consisted of repetitive content from the company website. At the top was two options for the contractor to send their loan application to customers, sharing a URL or QR code. The navigation wasn’t defined in a meaningful way that ensured the portal is scalable.
It’s important to start with a high-level overview and providing easy paths for users to view more granular information. The design presents recent applications to the contractor quickly and clearly, and displays their status. This allows contractors to view essential information at a glance. Widgets at the top are paths to key features and help in the portal.
ADVERTISE FINANCING PAGE
Our marketing toolkit provides contractors with visual assets that are easy to integrate and help them grow their business. The old resource page was structured in a tab navigation, but I decided to change it to a card system that allows the user to scan the main page for different groups of marketing assets.
A new feature in each asset block are visual examples in real life as a way to show its value and encourage contractors to use the asset. Some assets were also redesigned, such as the website banners, social media images, and estimate widgets.
