Acorn Finance integrated with PODS to help their customers make their move, storage, or both, more affordable with the more flexible way of paying over time. My role in the integration was delivering a mockup of the financing landing page with PODS UI, an interactive prototype of the Acorn Finance loan application and offers integrated in the booking experience in modal format, and a master screen flow (mobile/desktop) for all parties to review and understand the overall experience.
SCREEN FLOW
Once you start a quote, you call the PODS Customer Care Team to provide more details for them to provide a quote. The agent will promote financing and determine interest from you while emailing you the quote. If you express interest, the agent will give you directions on how to apply for financing options after the order is booked with a credit card on file. You proceed to the MyPODS quote page and interact with the financing widget located at the top of the side column to begin the loan application.
The loan application displays in a modal overlaying MyPODS page. After completing the application, depending on your order amount and if there is an offer from three partnered lenders, a screen with offer(s) will display. After selecting an offer, you confirm the offer, provide information to the lender, and agree to terms and conditions. A success modal screen is then displayed with next steps on how to access your loan account.
